Guest Post!

Today we have a guest post from Very, an online clothing store located in the UK. They'd like to share some ideas and tips for how to dress this summer.

From Top To Bottom: A Peek At This Summer’s Fashion Trends
Looking ahead to summer 2012, we’re seeing women’s fashion take a step away from the plain, block colors of last year. The beginning of the summer is an exciting time as we flock to the high street with hopes of updating our wardrobe and creating a fresh new look for the months ahead.
Floral Prints
Floral prints in themselves are nothing new but this summer, we see print design taking a hold of the fashion world once again. Loose-fitting dresses of all lengths look set to take center stage, with beautifully designed summer prints standing out as the style of choice for women across the UK and beyond.
Effortlessly cool Oasis dresses are best worn with a subtle belt to give them shape. Vivid and pastel tones combine to create a truly elegant look this summer, as the one-piece dress takes over from last year’s layered look.
Try combining numerous trends and styles by investing in a floral maxi dress – an item that is sure to turn heads and prove popular this summer.
Accessories
With pattern being a number-one priority, the need to accessorize is somewhat diminished in 2012. Where accessories are present, expect to see simple, one-color designs, intended to complement the simplicity of basic but beautiful outfit designs.
Where pattern does filter in, a tribal take on old classics is set to be popular. Deep oranges and browns in complicated weaves, combined with dark woods, are already becoming a common theme among women’s adornments this spring and the summer looks set to build on this.
Be careful not to overdo it though – bold accessories such as these should be shrewdly matched with colorful outfits.
Footwear
Footwear this summer looks to be equally elegant, yet simplistic. Flat-heeled sandals with delicate straps are popping up in all the right fashion magazines. Heels are by no means vanishing, though, and the ever-popular steep and chunky-heeled sandal will be the perfect addition to more subtle outfits this summer.

What are your favorite summer trends? I'm currently a big fan of the mint green trend, and definitely need to add some of that to my wardrobe. You can share your ideas below! And check back soon for my next post, because I have some fantastic thrift store finds to share with you all!
